Silver Key assists seniors who do not qualify for government food assistance in an emergency situation with donations of food and necessities from the community.

These food boxes allow seniors to stretch their food dollars further by supplementing their diets with a variety of foods, such as: nonfat dry and ultra-high temperature fluid milk, juice, farina, oats, ready-to-eat cereal, rice, pasta, peanut butter, dry beans, canned meat or poultry or fish, and canned fruits and vegetables.

These food supplies allow seniors to stretch their food dollars further by supplementing their diets with a variety of foods, such as: nonfat dry milk, rice, peanut butter, cereal, pasta, beans, canned fruits and vegetables, canned meat, dried fruit and a variety of other foods. These items vary and are on a “first come, first serve basis” until items run out.

The American Red Cross works in partnership with Military Aid Societies to provide quality, reliable financial assistance to eligible applicants 24/7/365. Assistance can include funds for emergency travel, burial of a loved one, emergency food and shelter, etc. The Aid Societies determine the financial assistance package that will be offered – a grant or a loan. The Red Cross is the mechanism to expedite access to these financial resources.

For those who truly do not have enough food to last approximately three days, emergency food is available during this time. 

CE provides timely access to appropriate housing programs through a centralized, equitable, person-centered process that preserves choice, dignity, and transparency.

The Independence Center supports access to housing through Colorado’s Division of Housing and Veterans Administration-funded housing voucher programs.  Through the training and resources that these vouchers offer, our Housing Coordinators can support you in your search for affordable, accessible housing, an essential component of independent living.

WAGEES Programs provide re-entry services to people who have been, or are about to be, released from a correctional facility.

St. Francis Center (SFC) is a transformation hub for men and women who are homeless in the metro Denver area, providing shelter along with a myriad of services that enable people to meet their basic needs for daily survival and to transition out of homelessness.

An overnight shelter for women has morphed into a robust, 24-7 low-barrier shelter serving 50 women, transgender, and nonbinary individuals year-round. While with us, each shelter guest is provided an assigned bed, locked storage for their belongings, 24-7 access to showers and hygiene, on-site laundry facilities, transportation assistance, and three meals and two snacks each day.

Our Emergency Shelter Program provides a safe shelter at a confidential location for individuals and families seeking refuge from interpersonal violence and/or elder abuse. We welcome all victims of abuse, including anyone traditionally silenced because of their ethnicity, race, religion, age, ability, income level, sexual orientation, transgender identity or who are gender non-conforming.

Focused on the needs of the most vulnerable members of our community, the overnight shelter is the first of its kind since the BOHO women’s shelter closed its doors in 2016. The Lodge serves 20-25 clients per night and an average of 80 unique clients per year. The Lodge operates 24/7 and provides clients with three meals a day, case management, housing navigation, employment counseling, and connections to mental & physical health providers.

More than a shelter, Mother House at Haven Ridge is our flagship residential program builds our residents` confidence and skills for a successful future. We serve pregnant people in need during their prenatal and postpartum journeys. We provide education, stability, and support throughout pregnancy and the early months of motherhood.

211 is a multilingual and confidential service that connects individuals to critical resources including food, shelter, rental assistance, childcare, and more. Our 211 database contains more than 7,000 health and human resources and is updated daily to help community members meet basic needs.

Circle of Love is a heart based volunteer organization serving the homeless in Boulder County with hot soup, sandwiches and loving kindness. We have served over 6000 meals since December 2020. We deliver the food to the Boulder Bandshell and adjourning park just south of Canyon Boulevard and West of 13th Street. We also distribute hard-boiled eggs, fruit, bottled water, hand warmers, hand wipes, toiletries, hand sanitizers, gloves, socks and hats.

Every Tuesday, year-round, Feet Forward offers a peer-led, low-barrier, housing-focused community event at Central Park, where we offer peer support, navigation services, on-site housing assessments, and direct connections to local service providers. We serve an average of 104 individuals every week within an hour, providing hot high-value meals, health and wellness resources, weather-appropriate clothing, and more.

Community courts are specialty courts that use a combined strategy of holding participants accountable while connecting them to social services to help address the root causes of crime. Boulder’s community court takes an individual and trauma-informed approach rather than the traditional punitive approach typically seen in the criminal justice system. It is volentary and you will not be arrested.

Boulder County AIDS Project (BCAP) serves any person who is HIV positive living in Boulder, Broomfield, Clear Creek and Gilpin Counties. If you live outside our service area, we can refer you to another AIDS service organization (ASO) in Colorado or the state in which you reside. All care services are free, confidential and offered within a non-judgmental environment. We celebrate and value each person entering our doors for services regardless of age, race, culture, gender, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, lifestyle, background, religion, ability, or income.
